As you know, travel fair has been kick off since last February with BCA Travel Fair with Singapore Airlines, then it follow with Japan Travel Fair in Kota Kasablanka, and the most famous one "Garuda Travel Fair with BNI, and a lot like it will come around. And for years, we know, there is a thousands people always come and hunt their new trip!

with my son Kafka. Just Kidding, no, its my nephew named Khalid. He is so exciting with travel fair. He fell asleep the entire time. Its nice to get attention from others young mom out there asking about your fake son. Should done this again later!

First question, why people so crazy about this? number one, because it cheap, second because its about travel. Anything about travelling are driving people insane right now. Currently, Labuan Bajo is the hottest Indonesian destination, and Melbourne is on the rising for international destination (oww, i miss Melbourne!). But, the major quoestion is, why Travel Fair is Matter? Don't we already have Traveloka.com , PegiPegi.com, Booking.com, and others travel apps to make sure we got the best price? And here is my main reason why travel fair is still relevant and freaking important from consumer perspective (ughh, why i use this term, but, any way there it is):

1. Reason To Buy
People tent to say "oh i want to travel here, and there, and everywhere!" But in the end, they don't do anything to make it happen. Because, they don't got the moment to force them to click buy. Garuda Travel Fair is one of the biggest travel fair in nation. Its happen simultaneously throughout the country. Travel Fair give you an excuse to take a break with whatever you busy of doing and thinking about fly away from city. My mom just want to accompany me when i insist to go to JCC last weekend, but in the end she agree to buy one return flight to Sumatera Barat and see other stuff, like neck pillow and everything that we need in the cabin but always forget to buy.

2. Managing Your Time and Money Ahead
I see travel fair as the moment to thinking about your life ahead. Not only for the trip, but also scheduling when will we spent our money for travel. GTFA are regularly happen two times in years. So you already prepare between those two schedule the money and time to get the ticket. And after you got the flight ticket, its time to prepare your itinerary and start savings to go there. For me, its quite amusing and soothing.

3. To Meet Others Travel Enthusiast
I feel kinda happy when i know i am not crazy cheap ticket hunter in this pricey town.

4. To Inspire You Travel More (of course!)
Basically thats why we need travel fair. To see how much money we have to prepare to get our destination, and be surprise how cheap others place is. Its empower you to work harder so you can travel more. Well, at least, for me!
