Why Did The Music Getting ... Hornier?

by - 2:38 AM

I love listening to the music, any kind of music, Pop, Rock, Alternative, Folk, EDM, Dangdut, you named it! For me, music have special place in my brain (yes, brain! because my heart already fill with something else). I can go back to my house just because i miss my headphone, because it so goddamn useless having a phone without music on it!

Not only i am enjoying good tunes that produce from genius music producer like Max Martin, Shellback, Dr. Luke, Thomas Wesley Pentz, even the recent one i love Ilya Salmanzadeh (he creates "Everyday" by Ariana Grande and i can not stop push the rewind) i also very attached with their lyrics. Yes, i am that kind of person. I have to know the lyrics so i can sing along. And also, the lyrics is very important for me to learn American English and their slang (yes, i always assume all music lyric is using American English instead of British). My first experiences with song lyric when i am still in fourth grade, translate Blue ft Elton John song "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Words". Its beautifully poetic but also catchy (also, i just found out that i am have a things with tall slender black british man, Yass, Simon Webbe is my first n*gga crush. Now i have Idris Elba). Then my next addiction is Avril Lavigne with "With You" then Coldplay with "Shiver" also Metallica with "St. Anger" all of them give me a feeling. A very mixed feeling for 12 tears old kids!

But, now, here we are. In digital era. The Millennials era. The era that everything happen prematurely. We have teen mom, teen CEO, teen doctor, every teen seems do all the grown up shits and the world seems fine about it! (Ok, Gita don't go there, stay focus!) And what is my main concern is, not only the world we living is changing, but also the music we hearing become more provocative and seductive. And, somehow i feel it is wrong, no, its not okay!

1. Craving for Attention
In terms of fashion, i always find that the world is always transform to something lesser fabric. The skirt slit getting higher, the bras that shouldn't be appear in public now becoming a cute top, the hot pants getting hotter than ever (seriously i would called it "jeans panties", because my underwear cover more ass than today's hot pants). And, why the world do it? it simply because we no longer accepting people attention, we need morerecognition that we have a good ass. We need acknowledge that our booty are great. And since we are craving so much about it, the music capture it with tunes and lyric. Iggy Azalea and JLo song "Big Booty" have very clear message about... you know... booty. And then, Nicky Minaj explicitly told you about her about her "anaconda don't want none unless you got buns hun". And yes, the anaconda is referring to the penis and buns mean, the butt. And, this Anaconda song are the anthem of 2015, you can find a kids at Youtube dancing and singing this song freely. Like it was some Disney song or anything.

2. Dying of Romantic Era
In this era of technology, on few (very few, maybe almost ancient) people that still hold on to their romantic side. Who still believe in love at the first sight, hold a boombox in front of the girl that he/she loved until they forgive you, who still have trust and keep each other promises, believe in sacrifice, you know all the stupid shit from Coldplay early album. "You know, for you i bleed my self dry", Yellow by Coldplay. No, right now everything about sex, money, or pimping. Even the cute little miss Disney, Ariana Grande, who has a voice better than the angels were singing a song about extreme sex. Like "Side to Side" which is talk about a girl that just got drill all night with the man who has huge penis and makes her walk side to side. Or Bruno Mars that give the whole procedure of foreplay in "Versace on The Floor". Even Taylor Swift trying so hard to sound seductive in her newest song "Don't Wanna Live Forever" (and yes, it sounds horrible). I mean why? Why no one make stupid promise shit like Bon Jovi "All About Loving You". Seems like John Legend, who successfully melted every single women on planet earth with "All of Me", were alone in this kind of genre.

3. Dare To Be Different...?
Every time i hear some new artist or new singer, the media always demand that this certain singer or musician can offer something different to the industry. And i blame Lady Gaga for that! She come in 2008 with her completely new style. She refer herself as none human but a monster. She dress like no other human being ever can imagine, she has great voice and good skill to write a hits. And everyone seems want to copying her controversial image... and failed. Like Miley Cyrus. I don't said what she doing is a major failure, i love "Bangerz" album so bad, but she trying so hard to look different. With her crazy hair style, crazy outfit (or even unwanted nude) and her crazy obsession with marijuana ( i mean, why? i know people that smoking marijuana everyday but none of them looks like her).

So, i guess thats what makes music sound so hornier than ever. Do you think there is more reason for that? Please, comment below!
